David Goodman
As the founder of the Goodman Report, David oversees the vision and direction of the team and functions as a zealous spokesperson and advocate for property owners and investors in the Vancouver area. This tenacity, coupled with extensive experience and knowledge of the real estate market, has allowed him to be recognized as a respected authority on the apartment building and development industry.

David Goodman was born in Montreal and attended Sir George Williams University before moving to British Columbia in 1971, where a year later he became active in Vancouver real estate. David was awarded Top 10 Status with Block Brothers (NRS) nine times over a twenty-two year period and was recognized as the top company salesperson in 1979. His sales excellence continues today at HQ Real Estate Services where he has consistently achieved number one sales status.

Always striving towards enhancing his craft, David pioneered the practice of newsletters for multifamily building owners in 1983. The Goodman Report, then a print newsletter focused on the apartment industry, has now evolved into a fully integrated email and print apartment news and marketing platform that has positioned David and his son Mark as authorities on apartment building sales in BC and across Canada.

Since 1983, David has specialized in the marketing and sale of over 500 apartment buildings. David’s apartment clients include local owners, off-shore families and institutional investors. Additionally, he has sold a number of prominent multifamily development sites to Polygon, Wall Financial, Mosaic Homes, Bosa Ventures, Cape Construction, Mayfair Properties, as well as hotels and shopping centers including Middlegate Shopping Centre.

From 1989-1993, David acted as a Director of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (ICI Division) serving on the Education Committee, guest lecturing on the "Art of Marketing Apartment Buildings" and has been a guest lecturer for the Urban Development Institute, Canadian Property Tax Association and has chaired the Associate Members Committee of the BC Apartment Owners and Managers Association from 2003 - 2006.
